The Al-Mawaddah Family Development Association successfully concluded the "Family Research Innovation Camp," which lasted for two months. The camp succeeded in developing the research skills of the participants in the social field and enhancing innovative thinking.
The Director General of Al-Mawaddah Association, Mohammed Al-Radhi, stated that the number of registered participants in the camp reached 96 students from various regions of the Kingdom. The camp hosted 49 undergraduate and master's degree students, graduating 37 trainees with bachelor's degrees and 12 trainees with master's degrees. The camp aimed to enhance the participants' abilities to conduct scientific research related to family and community and to acquire research skills in the field of social research.
Al-Radhi added that the procedures and techniques used in this camp included identifying the family study topic to be focused on, providing lectures to explain the basic concepts of family studies research, and outlining weekly tasks. The camp also involved introducing members to the appropriate tools and techniques for conducting research in family studies, such as interviews and questionnaires, and guiding members in conducting a comprehensive review of previous literature related to the specified family study topic. Additionally, the camp provided weekly tasks to practically train them on studies, identify research objectives, formulate research questions and appropriate methodology, assist members in preparing questionnaires with key themes, teach them to analyze collected data and interpret results with a focus on main conclusions, and guide them in preparing concise research reports summarizing findings and key recommendations.
In a statement, Al-Radhi expressed his happiness with the success of the camp, saying: "The camp is a wonderful opportunity to develop our students' skills and enhance their research capabilities in the social field. We are proud of what the trainees have achieved and look forward to seeing the impact of these skills in their future research." With this success, the Al-Mawaddah Family Development Association reaffirms its commitment to providing distinguished training programs that contribute to community development and support scientific research in the social field.
Al-Radhi concluded that this initiative is part of the continuous efforts of the Al-Mawaddah Association to develop professional skills and increase scientific and practical competencies interactively to develop research and scientific projects in the fields of family sciences, psychology, sociology, and social work. The initiative also focuses on correcting methods and approaches to dealing with family issues, calculating and publishing them as statistics and data in the community. Moreover, the initiative works on issuing family research and studies that contribute to the creation of family legislation and supports graduate students. The initiative has issued 56 studies and research, including exploratory, research, and applied studies. These studies cover various categories, such as children, youth, men, women, and the elderly, and address diverse areas related to family and community.
