AlMawaddah launches “Let Love Remain” campaign to reduce children’s suffering after divorce

Al Mawaddah Society for Family Development launched the "Let the Affection Remain" campaign, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of kindness at the end of married life, and reducing the psychological, social and economic damage resulting from divorce. Based on a survey study launched by Al Mawaddah entitled "Exploring the Future of Family Needs for the Year 2024", which helps identify the needs of the family and the problems it currently faces in the axis of the relationship after separation, where 85% confirmed their need for help in raising children after separation, and 82% of beneficiaries confirmed their need to prepare children for the situation after separation, in addition to 85% of beneficiaries confirmed their need for psychological support before making the decision to separate and during after separation, as the most prominent needs of the beneficiaries during the separation stage were the psychological stability of the children after separation, understanding between the spouses in the interest of the children, accepting the idea of ​​separation, and making the decision to separate for the parents and children.

Professor Muhammad bin Ali Al Radhi, Director General of Al Mawaddah Society, indicated that the child suffers from emotional and behavioral disorders, including anxiety and depression, which may affect his academic achievement and social relationships. To feel unstable and insecure due to changes in routine and family environment.

Al-Radhi explained that the campaign includes qualitative and influential products, including an advertising video to raise awareness in society about the dilemma of a child choosing between a father or a mother after divorce, in addition to producing 10 awareness infographics in Arabic and English, 5 awareness posts and a free training course for separated families to reach 500,000 views.

Al-Radhi concluded that Al-Mawadda provides its services to separated families through Al-Mawadda programs, where more than 4,452 children from separated families have been served since the beginning of 2024 AD, and preparation and gradual services were provided to 756 children in the Shaml program for separated families, more than 23,000 children in protection programs. Al-Mawadda also provides many training programs in the Makramah Center for widows and divorcees and qualifies them to build projects that contribute to providing a decent life for their children, where 929 female breadwinners have been served. We provide free training programs for separated families through the family platform, which aims to enhance family life quality skills, including conscious divorce to know the steps of divorce with kindness, as well as the relationship course with children after separation and taking care of children’s psychological and social needs, in addition to providing family counseling and reform services to solve family problems that occur after divorce and conducting preparation and gradual sessions for the child.
