Al-Mawaddah Family Development Association continues to achieve distinguished achievements in the field of family counseling, through 4 local and regional government projects implemented in the field of family counseling. It has provided its services to more than 192,000 beneficiaries over 21 years. With the participation of 176 specialists and consultants providing support through 25 consulting offices, with more than 576,000 counseling sessions, and has contributed to training and qualifying 5,700 practitioners in family counseling since its establishment in 2003. Al-Mawaddah was honored to implement the family counseling strategy in the Kingdom in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and contributed to reducing the rate of family conflicts by 29% before reaching the courts, and continues to strengthen its relationship with families through a group of services, the most important of which are the counseling phone, counseling by interview, electronic counseling, support groups and counseling clinics in prisons and the Grand Mosque, and the Taraweeh platform service for settling family disputes with an average impact of the counseling services provided to families of 73%. It also issued 11 research papers and studies in the field of family counseling, reflecting its commitment to supporting families and strengthening family cohesion.
As part of its ongoing efforts, the association participated in the Family Forum 2024, organized by the Family Affairs Council under the slogan "Family and Family Counseling: Building Strength from Within in a Changing World". Mohammed bin Ali Al-Radhi, Director General of the Association, stressed the importance of the forum in enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences between different sectors to support the family.
His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, praised the center's efforts in saving 66% of divorce cases by contributing to reconciliation and not proceeding with divorce, which confirms the importance of having a family counseling strategy.
Al-Radhi concluded that the goal of Al-Mawaddah Association's participation in the forum is to enhance integration and exchange ideas with an elite group of experts and specialists, which contributes to achieving Saudi Vision 2030 and building strong and cohesive families.
