The Director General of Al Mawaddah Association, Mr. Mohammed Al Radhi, participated in the Family Forum with a working paper, where he reviewed the practical practices of associations in providing family counseling services and recommended the importance of developing precise scientific specializations for family counseling in partnership between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the Family Affairs Council. He stressed the need to study the mandatory referral from the Ministry of Justice to licensed non-profit family counseling centers before issuing judicial decisions for cases requiring family counseling or social and psychological support. He also called for the establishment of a national center for professional accreditation to issue licenses to family counseling practitioners and centers, in line with some international models. He announced the launch of a joint initiative with the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector to encourage the transformation of non-profit family counseling centers into a social investment.
