Al Mawaddah supports 4,429 elderly people through qualitative programs and initiatives to promote mental health

 

As part of community awareness to enhance family and psychological stability, Al Mawaddah Family Development Association organized awareness activities that will last for a week under the slogan “The Role of the Family Head in Achieving Family Stability.” The activity reviewed the vital roles played by family heads. The Director General of Al-Mawaddah Association for Family Development, Mr. Mohammed Ali Al-Radhi, explained that the elderly represent a fundamental pillar of stability and family cohesion, due to their wisdom and long life experiences. "Activating their role in the family increases the quality of the family's psychological health, and we at Al-Mawaddah Association are keen to develop quality programs dedicated to the elderly and all members of their family. Al-Radhi stressed that enhancing the mental health of the elderly is the cornerstone of stable families, and the role of the elderly can be enhanced by paying attention to their opinions and advice in family and life matters. It is important to involve the elderly in important decisions related to the family. Because we consider the elderly to be the guardians of heritage and traditions, we can activate their role by encouraging them to transfer family and cultural values ​​and traditions to the rising generations. Al-Radhi added the importance of the head of the family as a model of morals and values, as he seeks to guide family members towards positive behaviors. His experience and wisdom enable him to provide useful advice. The events also addressed the role of the head of the family in resolving conflicts and enhancing communication between different generations.
