Al-Mawadda and Social Development in Jeddah sign a memorandum of understanding to build the capacities of 5 emerging civil society associations in the governorate

Al-Mawaddah Family Development Association and the Jeddah Social Development Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, signed a memorandum of understanding to support five emerging civil society associations in Jeddah Governorate. This memorandum comes within the initiative of "Twinning Distinguished Associations with Emerging Associations" launched by the Social Development Center, with the aim of developing the performance of emerging associations and enhancing their growth by benefiting from Al-Mawaddah Association's expertise in various fields.

Professor Mohammed bin Ali Al-Radhi, Director General of Al-Mawaddah Association, explained that the association seeks, through this partnership, to add added value and meet the strategic needs of emerging associations, by transferring knowledge and expertise in the areas of social, institutional and financial performance. This will include creating programs with a deeper impact, enhancing organizational efficiency, improving financial resource management and achieving financial sustainability. The memorandum aims to achieve a number of results, most notably raising the efficiency of emerging associations, enhancing cooperation between associations in the social field, and expanding the positive impact in society.

Al-Radhi pointed out that Al-Mawaddah Association provided knowledge transfer expertise in various fields, including developing financial resources and investment, managing government projects and competitions, creating impact, competitions and social investment, strategic and executive planning, and building performance indicators. It is noteworthy that Al-Mawaddah Association has provided support to more than 13 associations during the third quarter of 2024. Al-Radhi concluded by emphasizing Al-Mawaddah Association’s commitment to continue its role in developing and supporting emerging associations, contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in building a thriving and effective non-profit sector that contributes to community development and achieving sustainability.
