Al Mawaddah Society for Family Development launched the “One Million Environmentally Friendly Families” initiative in the presence of the Society’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Faisal bin Saif Al-Din Al-Samnoudi, on the sidelines of the COP16 Climate Summit held in Riyadh.
The launch was attended by the President of the World Family Organization, Dr. Daisy Costa, the President of the Arab Family Council for Development, Dr. Amal Ibrahim, the Vice President for Legal and Administrative Affairs at the World Family Organization, Mr. Isidro Debreto, and the Director General of the General Administration of Family Guidance and Counseling at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Mr. Muhammad Al-Qasir. The ceremony was also attended by the former Minister of Higher Education in Tunisia, Dr. Sadiq Al-Qarbi, the Secretary General of Arab Family and Social Development, Mr. Amer Al-Jaridi, in addition to the Director General of Al Mawaddah Society, Mr. Muhammad Al-Radhi.
The initiative aims to enhance environmental awareness among Arab and international families, and encourage them to adopt sustainable practices in daily life, which contributes to achieving sustainable development goals and enhancing the quality of life for future generations.
Eng. Faisal Al-Samnoudi expressed the association’s pride in participating in this global summit and contributing to finding innovative environmental solutions, noting that this initiative comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its support for global initiatives that focus on the environment and sustainable development.
