Al Mawaddah Association holds its second board meeting in its fourth session and launches the “Your Donation is Mercy” campaign to support needy families
Jeddah, February 25, 2025 - As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance social sustainability and achieve its development goals, Al Mawaddah Association for Family Development held its second board meeting in its fourth session, where the board discussed a set of strategic axes that enhance the association’s role in supporting family and social stability.
The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. Faisal bin Saif Al-Din Al-Samnoudi, with a speech in which he affirmed the association’s commitment to implementing its strategies in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, pointing to the importance of institutional work based on innovation and continuous development. He also stressed the need to strengthen strategic partnerships to ensure the sustainability of the social impact and achieve the association’s goals with higher efficiency.
The meeting witnessed a review of the annual performance report for 2024, which revealed that the association achieved an achievement rate exceeding the targets in many programs, reflecting the success of its strategies in meeting the needs of the family and society. The Council also discussed recommendations for redeveloping the 2030 strategic plan, where the Chairman of the Council stressed the need to conduct an in-depth research study on the needs of the Saudi family through a neutral party, to ensure the accuracy of future directions.
The meeting also reviewed the latest developments in government projects and competitions, and approved the proposed names for membership in the subcommittees for the new session, including the Audit and Internal Review Committee, the Nominations and Remuneration Committee, the Investment and Financial Resources Development Committee, and the Media Production Advisory Committee.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Board of Directors announced the launch of the “Your Donation is Mercy” campaign, which aims to support needy families during the holy month of Ramadan, by providing in-kind and financial assistance to ensure improving their quality of life. Engineer Faisal Al-Samnoudi stressed that the campaign is an extension of the association’s mission to promote social solidarity, calling on all members of society and partners to contribute to its success to achieve the greatest possible impact.
This meeting confirms Al-Mawaddah Association’s commitment to its social responsibilities and its constant endeavor to develop its services and programs, ensuring the building of a more stable and cohesive society.
