Through its training arm, Al-Mawaddah Academy, Al-Mawaddah Association for Family Development launched a specialized program to qualify and train social and psychological support specialists working with prison inmates in the Riyadh region. This program is part of its efforts to promote family and community stability and support inmates and their families with specialized professional services that contribute to their positive reintegration into society.
The training program will last for four days, with a total of 20 training hours. During this time, 12 certified specialists will be trained to provide counseling services across four counseling clinics in Riyadh. The program focuses on four main integrated themes: the basics of counseling services in the prison environment; case classification and counseling sessions management according to modern professional methodologies; group counseling, drawing on international experiences in this field; and the application of psychological measures and analysis of their results, enhancing the accuracy of diagnosis and the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
His Excellency, the Association's CEO, Mr. Mohammed Al-Radhi, emphasized that this initiative responds to the needs of inmates and their families. The training of specialists is a pivotal part of the initiative to operate guidance clinics providing social and psychological support for male and female prison inmates. This initiative focuses on rehabilitating and reintegrating this group into society, strengthening family bonds, and helping them bridge the gap between themselves and their families by providing psychological, social, and professional support. This prepares them to face psychological challenges and isolation, and prepares them positively for the post-release period.
Al-Radhi explained that this program is part of a package of training programs offered by the Al-Mawaddah Academy, which aims to raise the competence of practitioners and specialists in family and social affairs through advanced training programs based on continuous professional learning and practical application. This enhances the quality of services provided to beneficiaries and has a sustainable impact on family and community stability.
