Mr. Zuhair bin Ali Al Marhoumi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Al Mawaddah Family Development Association, emphasized that the Al Mawaddah Center's counseling, social, and psychological support services it provides to separated families reflect the association's commitment to supporting family stability and creating a safe environment for children. He explained that since the beginning of 2025, the center has provided more than 8,469 diverse services, benefiting 1,858 families. Al Marhoumi noted that the center has provided a range of services to more than 4,045 children from separated families in a safe environment that respects privacy and human dignity. The center aims to create a suitable psychological and social environment for children during the implementation of court rulings, ensuring their psychological well-being and mitigating the effects of family separation. The center also provides numerous services, such as legal consultations and awareness-raising activities to raise families' awareness and enhance their ability to address social challenges. It also conducts home visits referred by official bodies to support families and address their living conditions. The association provides a comprehensive package of services for separated families and their children, including family, psychological, and social counseling through the Mawaddah Center, child skill development programs, and treatment of behavioral and developmental disorders through the Innovative Child Center, in addition to virtual training courses through the Family Platform, which provides specialized programs for separated families, such as the steps to divorce with kindness and the relationship with children after separation. These efforts aim to empower families to overcome separation with greater awareness and provide a more stable and peaceful environment for their children.
Al-Marhoumi emphasized that these efforts are part of the association's vision to empower families in Saudi Arabia to live in a stable and safe environment, reflecting their pivotal role in enhancing quality of life and achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a more cohesive and aware society.
