Al-Mawaddah Family Development Association won the National Volunteer Work Award during its participation in the first Global Forum for the Non-Profit Sector, #Beyond_Profit, organized by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development. This award recognizes its advanced volunteer system, which has achieved a significant presence in terms of empowerment and social impact. The award reflects the development of Al-Mawaddah's experience in volunteer work, with a total of 2,966 volunteers, 497 volunteer opportunities, and over 81,558 volunteer hours. Volunteer work generated an economic return of 3,584,877 riyals, accompanied by a satisfaction rate exceeding 95%, confirming the quality of the experience and the effectiveness of the empowerment model within the association.

The association's spokesperson, Ms. Hamsa Tamraz, indicated that the association has expanded its volunteer opportunities to align with the needs of families and the social sector. This expansion includes professional volunteering for experts, consultants, and trainers (based on the Pro Bono model), digital volunteering for technology specialists, social volunteering for university students, and organizational volunteering focused on managing events, initiatives, and awareness campaigns. This diversity has contributed to enhancing the value of implemented programs and amplifying their direct impact on beneficiaries.

Ms. Tamraz added that Al-Mawaddah's efforts are based on a comprehensive strategy for the sustainability of volunteer work. This strategy focuses on strengthening the role of professionals in various volunteer fields, building a system that ensures their active and long-term participation, and designing tailored volunteer programs that leverage their expertise and support community needs. This, in turn, strengthens the association's role in empowering families and improving their quality of life, and aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the volunteering system and expanding community participation.
