Partnership with Al-Rajhi Humanitarian Foundation
Al-Mawaddah Association for Family Development launched the "Pioneers of Values Camp" program in partnership with Al-Rajhi Humanitarian Foundation. The program involves 100 male and female students from 20 schools. The training phase has begun as part of an educational experience designed for middle and high school students, focusing on reinforcing family values, building behavioral awareness, and developing social responsibility through podcasts and community initiatives. The camp is being implemented in partnership with Dar Al-Hikma University, with training sessions commencing from the first day to reinforce the practical application of values and create a tangible impact.
In this context, the official spokesperson for Al-Mawaddah Association, Ms. Hamsa Abdulkarim Tamraz, indicated that the camp is designed for the age group of 13 to 18 years old and is delivered through an intensive four-day training program, with four training hours per day. The aim is to empower students to understand family values as a system that translates into measurable daily behavior, enhance communication skills and family dialogue management, and develop responsible and cooperative behaviors that support a sense of belonging and social awareness among young people.
Tamraz explained that the selection of the targeted values in the camp was based on a scientific methodology to transform family values into an integrated system that connects value dimensions, age stages, and behavioral indicators. The process began with building a theoretical framework and identifying the problem, then defining the main values, deriving sub-values, linking them to the age stages of the children, preparing a values questionnaire, and finally building the general structure of the values matrix. She confirmed that this framework is a practical tool that parents and specialists can use to instill, monitor, and evaluate values within the Saudi family.
Tamraz indicated that the camp targets four core values: family responsibility, family participation, family communication, and patience, considering them values that have a direct impact on the quality of relationships within the family, on behavioral balance during adolescence, and on building positive attitudes towards society, which in turn reflects on family stability and improves the quality of life.
Tamraz added that the training day at the camp includes a theoretical component that introduces the concept of value, its components, and characteristics, and a practical component that begins on the first day through applied stations that transform the value into a clear practice; through field exercises and practical models, in addition to producing tangible outputs led by the students themselves, including the production of ten podcast episodes and the implementation of ten community initiatives that reflect the targeted values and translate them into behavior and participation within the school, family, and community.
Tamraz concluded by emphasizing that the "Values Pioneers Camp" falls within the strategic dimension of Al-Mawaddah Association in supporting the family to be prosperous and cohesive through innovative development programs, empowering its members, enhancing their quality of life, and building a generation aware of values and capable of transforming them into a positive impact within the family and society, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in human development, enhancing the quality of life, and increasing the contribution of the non-profit sector to sustainable social development. Al-Mawaddah Association expressed its gratitude and appreciation to Al-Rajhi Humanitarian Foundation for its partnership in implementing the camp and supporting its outcomes. It also valued the partnership with Dar Al-Hikma University and its contribution to implementing the training program, which enhances the quality of the outcomes and achieves the educational and developmental objectives of the camp.
