On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Al-Mawaddah Association for Family Development reaffirmed its continued efforts to empower women and strengthen the stability of the Saudi family, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Programs that place the family and women at the heart of social development, aiming to build a more cohesive and stable society.

The CEO of Al-Mawaddah Association for Family Development, Mohammed bin Ali Al-Radhi, explained that the number of women who have benefited from the association’s services since its establishment has reached 353,686 women, reflecting the expanding social impact of the association in supporting women and families within the community.

Al-Radhi stated that the services provided to women cover several key pathways. Family protection services represented the largest share of beneficiaries at 35%, followed by social and psychological support services at 25%, while family skills development services accounted for 17%. Women benefiting from services for separated families represented 12%, economic empowerment services accounted for 8%, and specialist skills development services made up 3%.

He added that empowering women at Al-Mawaddah is not limited to providing services to beneficiaries; it also extends to engaging women as active partners in the association’s developmental work. Currently, 174 women work within the association across diverse professional fields, contributing to the delivery of family and counseling services to the community.

These professionals include 25 administrative employees who support the institutional work system, 25 family counselors providing specialized guidance and consultations, 76 specialists in psychological and social support, and 48 social researchers who study family cases and follow them up in the field—enhancing the quality of services provided to families and women beneficiaries.

He emphasized that these specialized female professionals contribute directly to improving the beneficiary experience and delivering professional services that strengthen family stability while supporting women psychologically, socially, and economically.

Al-Radhi added that these efforts come within the broader transformations taking place in the Kingdom to support women, reflecting the importance of developmental programs directed toward women in Saudi society. Through its programs, Al-Mawaddah Association seeks to strengthen women’s role as active partners in family and social development by building their capacities, empowering them economically, and providing psychological and social support—ultimately enhancing family stability and quality of life. These efforts align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in empowering women and increasing their participation in sustainable development.

Al-Radhi concluded his statement by emphasizing that investing in family stability and women’s empowerment is a fundamental pillar in building a cohesive and prosperous society, noting that Al-Mawaddah Association will continue to develop its programs and services to reach the largest possible segment of families and women across the Kingdom, contributing to achieving sustainable family development.
