Al-Mawaddah Provides Over 1,962 Social and Psychological Consultations During Hajj Season
Al-Mawaddah Family Development Association provided social, psychological, and family services to 4,346 beneficiaries during the Eid al-Adha holiday of 1447 AH, through a distinguished team of 178 specialists. The services, offered in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, had a tangible impact across several specialized areas. These included providing 1,962 social and psychological consultations to pilgrims during the Hajj season, handling 1,710 reports of domestic violence through family protection centers with an average resolution rate of 90%, and facilitating 515 visits for 684 children in need, in addition to providing 608 other services for separated families.
The reports of domestic violence handled by the association were geographically distributed in relatively similar proportions, with the Central region accounting for 36%, followed by the Western region at 35%, and then the Southern region at 29%. Meanwhile, the centers serving separated families accounted for 3% of the referred home visits. This reflects the comprehensive geographical coverage and rapid response to cases, in line with the principles of protection and stability.
Commenting on these initiatives and statistics, the CEO of Al-Mawaddah Association, Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Radhi, stated:
