Al-Mawaddah Family Development Association delivered 30 housing units to beneficiary families under the "Mukarrama" program, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance family and economic stability for the most vulnerable families. This is achieved by providing integrated housing and development solutions that contribute to improving quality of life and achieving sustainable living standards.
The association explained that these units are part of the "Sakan" initiative under the "Mukarrama" program, which aims to provide safe and stable housing for the most vulnerable families. This contributes to strengthening family stability and improving quality of life by providing sustainable housing solutions supported by guidance and development programs that promote living stability.
The association indicated that the number of housing units delivered since the beginning of 2026 has reached 60 out of a target of 100 units within the initiative's plan. 32 units were previously delivered, while the 30 new units were delivered in this phase. The Second Vice Chairman of the Board, Mr. Fayez bin Abdullah Al-Harbi, emphasized that providing suitable housing is one of the most important pillars of social and psychological stability for families. He pointed out that the association views housing as a starting point for empowering families economically and enhancing their ability to face challenges and achieve self-reliance.
Al-Harbi added that the "Makrama" program is not limited to housing support, but rather represents an integrated system for the economic empowerment of families. It includes a number of development initiatives and programs aimed at transitioning families from dependency to productivity and stability through vocational training, skills development, job opportunity support, and improved financial resource management. He pointed out that the program includes specialized initiatives such as “Raya” (Care), which provides direct financial and logistical support to the most vulnerable families to help them meet their daily challenges; “Qudra” (Power), which provides vocational training and skills development for beneficiaries and guides them in entering the job market or launching their own projects; “Tadbeer” (Management), which studies and provides financial plans for struggling families to achieve financial stability and manage their resources; “Tamkeen” (Empowerment), which focuses on providing job opportunities and digital training for families to transform their skills into sustainable income sources; “Sakan” (Housing), which provides safe and sustainable housing solutions for the most vulnerable families to enhance their family stability; and finally, the “Economic Empowerment Forum,” which brings together families with experts and supporting organizations to open up employment opportunities and promote self-reliance.
Al-Harbi explained that the program's results reflect its growing developmental impact, as the various empowerment tracks have contributed to achieving an economic empowerment rate of 22% for beneficiary families, while the rate of professional and technical skills development has reached 82%, thus enhancing families' ability to build a more stable and sustainable future.
He emphasized that the delivery of the housing units is part of the association's approach to providing comprehensive development solutions that address the diverse needs of families, combining residential and psychological stability with economic and social empowerment, thus contributing to a sustainable impact on families and society.
Al-Harbi concluded his statement by affirming that Al-Mawaddah Association is committed to continuously developing its programs and initiatives aimed at empowering families and improving their quality of life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance quality of life, empower families, and build a more stable, prosperous, and sustainable society.
