The Al-Mawaddah Family Development Association, represented by the Al-Mawaddah Academy for Practitioner Training and Development, has launched a specialized professional track encompassing the International Professional Certificate for Family Planning Specialists and the Professional Certificate for Family Separation Specialists. This track aims to prepare qualified professionals capable of addressing family needs and transitions using scientific and professional practices that enhance family stability and protect its members.
The launch of this track comes in response to the need for practitioners who possess practical tools that go beyond theoretical knowledge to include the ability to assess family needs, analyze the challenges they face, and design realistic intervention plans that are implementable, monitorable, and measurable.
The International Professional Certificate for Family Planning Specialists focuses on equipping practitioners to understand families' needs and resources, develop clear family goals, and design integrated plans that consider social, psychological, educational, and economic aspects. This empowers families to make more informed decisions and prepare for their future.
Conversely, the Professional Certificate for Family Separation Specialists prepares practitioners capable of handling separation and divorce cases professionally and consciously, understanding their psychological and social impact on spouses and children, and providing appropriate support and guidance at various stages of separation. The certification program places particular emphasis on protecting children from the effects of parental conflict, fostering communication between parents in their best interests, designing intervention plans that consider the family's social and cultural context, and developing the practitioner's ability to manage crises and prepare guidance reports in accordance with professional ethics and standards.
Each certification is delivered over ten days of training, totaling thirty hours, using a methodology that combines continuous professional development with experiential learning. This is achieved through structured academic content, practical exercises, case studies, and simulations of real-life situations, along with an assessment of participants' knowledge and practical skills.
Professor Mohammed Omair, Director of the Business Sector at Al-Mawaddah Association, explained that the Al-Mawaddah Academy continued to expand its impact on the training and development of practitioners during the first half of 2026. The number of beneficiaries of its programs reached 2,018, including 1,996 participants in professional dialogue sessions. Additionally, 22 sign language practitioners were trained and licensed in the field of family counseling.
He added that the practitioners' satisfaction rate with the Academy's programs during the first half of the year reached 95%, reflecting the quality of the training experience and the programs' relevance to the actual professional needs of those working in the family and social fields.
He emphasized that launching the Family Planning and Separation Certificates represents an extension of the Academy's focus on building specialized professional pathways. He pointed out that the development of practitioners directly impacts the quality of services provided to families. The higher the specialist's competence and the more precise their tools, the more effective interventions become in preventing problems, containing crises, reducing their psychological and social impacts, and achieving sustainable results.
The two certificates are designed for holders of a bachelor's degree or higher in social and psychological fields, with priority given to those with practical experience in family and social work. Admission and evaluation requirements ensure that participants are prepared to benefit from the program's professional and practical content.
He concluded by stating that the association continues to build a specialized professional system that contributes to raising the efficiency of family services and preparing qualified personnel capable of supporting families in planning for their future and dealing consciously with the challenges of separation, thereby enhancing quality of life and family stability.
