The Board of Directors of the Al-Mawaddah Society for Family Development held a meeting, chaired by the Board Chairman, Eng. Faisal bin Saif Al-Din Al-Samnoudi. The meeting focused on discussing the Society’s investment and operational directions for 2027, while reviewing strategic priorities aimed at enhancing financial sustainability, improving institutional performance, and maximizing the social impact of the Society’s services.
The agenda included an assessment of the Society’s investment portfolio performance and the financial returns generated. The Board also reviewed policies regarding endowments and investments, discussed investment targets leading up to 2030, and defined future priorities to help build a sustainable investment strategy that supports the Society’s growth and the expansion of its family and developmental services.
Furthermore, the Board examined the Society’s strategic directions and the findings of an analysis concerning social and family-related issues—covering approximately 39,000 families—conducted in partnership with the National Center for Social Studies and Research. These findings will be used to establish operational priorities for 2027 and to develop programs and initiatives tailored to the needs of Saudi families.
Eng. Faisal bin Saif Al-Din Al-Samnoudi, Chairman of the Board, emphasized that Al-Mawaddah is entering a new phase of strategic planning. This phase focuses on resource development, increasing investment efficiency, and aligning operational priorities with the actual needs of families, thereby ensuring a synergy between financial sustainability and social impact. Al-Samnoudi noted that the association’s future direction focuses on shifting from a primary emphasis on expanding service delivery to maximizing the quality of outcomes and their long-term, sustainable impact. This will be achieved by investing in priority programs and initiatives, strengthening strategic partnerships, and leveraging research and data to inform development-related decision-making.
Concluding his remarks, Al-Samnoudi emphasized that the Al-Mawaddah Association remains committed to its mission of empowering Saudi families and enhancing their stability and quality of life—grounded in the belief that a cohesive family unit is the cornerstone of a thriving society. He pointed out that, through its future-oriented strategy, the association aims to establish a sustainable development model that integrates institutional innovation, financial sustainability, and maximized social impact. This approach reinforces its position as a leading organization in the field of family development and contributes to building more aware, cohesive, and stable families, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
