It is a study conducted on a random sample of individuals from Saudi society. The study aimed, in general, to identify the level of marital compatibility and methods of choosing a life partner, as well as the most common criteria for selecting a life partner, and the differences between husbands and wives based on demographic variables. There are some secondary objectives derived from the main objective, which are as follows:

- Identify the differences between husbands and wives in the level of marital compatibility.
- Identify the most common methods of choosing a life partner among the study sample individuals.
- Identify the differences in the level of marital compatibility based on the methods of choosing a life partner.
- Identify the most common criteria for selecting a life partner among the study sample individuals.
- Identify the differences in the level of marital compatibility based on the criteria for choosing a life partner.
- Identify the differences in the level of marital compatibility based on the duration of marriage among the study sample individuals.
- Identify the differences in the level of marital compatibility based on the average monthly income variable of the family among the study sample individuals.
- Identify the differences in the level of marital compatibility based on the educational level variable among the study sample individuals.
- Identify the differences in the level of marital compatibility based on the occupational status variable of the life partner among the study sample individuals.
