A study on the National Divorce Indicator.

It is a report on a study that addresses the problem of variations in divorce indicator calculation methods used by some international agencies and family development centers in the Kingdom. It is observed that different reports present conflicting divorce rate figures for the same time period. This study aims to develop an innovative national divorce indicator based on a sound scientific approach to help overcome the ambiguity in calculating divorce rates in the Kingdom. This report documents the stages of building the national divorce indicator and provides a practical guide for its implementation.  The methodology for constructing the indicator began with studying and analyzing the current situation, understanding stakeholders' challenges, reviewing regional and international experiences to identify opportunities for improvement and development. Subsequently, a collaborative innovation workshop was conducted involving experts, practitioners, and officials to develop a creative calculation mechanism that suits local variables, along with its validation. Finally, the study team worked on transforming the indicator into an applied guide for calculating divorce rates.
