This is an exploratory report on the study of the social effects of divorce conducted by the state from the perspective of experts in the city of Jeddah. The objectives of this study were:

• To identify the social effects of divorce.
• To uncover ways to address the social effects of divorce according to experts.
• To propose legislation to address the social effects of divorce.
